About Elder Care 808
Elder Care 808 provides elder care information in Honolulu to help both families and healthcare professionals give better care to our Kupuna (which means elder in Hawaiian).
Elder Care 808 was originally established in 2007 as Elder Care Counseling and Education by Emelyn S. Kim. She has helped many family caregivers successfully address a wide variety of issues relating to home and family.
Emelyn offers family caregivers and professional care providers the tools to move beyond old and limiting beliefs towards a more positive and supportive attitude.
Who Is Emelyn S. Kim?
Emelyn, or Eme Kim holds a Master of Science (MS) in gerontological counseling from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in psychology from the University of Hawaii.
She has over 20 years of experience working with older adults at non-profit agencies and teaching caregiving classes at Kapiolani Community College.
Eme has recently served an 8-year term, appointed by the Governor of Hawaii to serve on the Health Planning Council, West Oahu Subarea of the State Health Planning and Development Agency (SHPDA), Department of Health.
About The Bonsai
